When I software that comes with Windows, but I need to reinstall, how do I get my registry key? It comes with Windows, so I admit, but if I had to go buy it.

If you have purchased, but "Windows", you should have a registry key and drives needed to have received them reinstall. This is what I get when I bought Office 2007, with a new machine.
Check the records and ignore other things likely to use the computer in their willingness to the machine.
